Introduction of Advisory Services

An accomplished business consultant with strong consulting, technology, and people management skills, Pradip Bhowmick brings to the table more than 25 years of experience that balances Industry roles in the Higher Education sector along with P&L Management roles in the Consulting Services sector. Recently, Pradip was the Vice President at the Office of the Chancellor, ADAMAS University. Prior to this engagement, he has worked as a Partner at PwC in India (between 2002 to 2014) and then again as a Partner at KPMG in India (between 2015 to 2019). After joining the board of Avenir, Pradip has introduced a range of business advisory services that will be offered from Avenir covering the key aspects of Strategy, Structure, Markets, People, Process and Technology.

In his 12 years of employment at PwC in India, as Partner and followed by 4 years in KPMG in India, as Partner, Pradip has successfully set up and grown the Government & Public sector technology consulting businesses in two of the largest consulting firms in India. These practices have grown fast, ran profitably and became the clear choice of customers for the inherent focus on innovation in solutions and methods that were adopted, product quality and value delivered. In KPMG, Pradip used to head the technology transformations business for the infra, govt & health sectors. Pradip has personally led pursuits and delivery of transformational engagements across the government & enterprise sector clientele. He has also been responsible for setting up and operating the technology delivery units for global clients including one of the world’s largest insurance companies, a global beverage giant and multiple government department in Asia Pac, SAARC, Caribbean and the Middle East. While working for KPMG, Pradip delivered extensive change management and capacity development programs and sold and delivered a wide spectrum of Technology Transformation programs for the sectors like Urban Local Bodies, Transportation, Agriculture and Public health. Among Pradip’s most notable and successful engagements are some Country level Digital initiatives like establishing the Federal government enterprise architecture and setting up a national software quality and testing center of excellence for a SAARC country.

During his recent engagement as the Vice President at the Chancellor’s office & Director of the School of Engineering & Technology, Pradip was reporting to the Chancellor and working in close collaboration with the Vice Chancellor, Pradip was a strategic advisor to the Chancellor and the campus executive leadership team. This position was the key architect of the Chancellor’s strategic plan and provides senior executive level oversight and coordination to implement the directives and institutional initiatives of the Chancellor. Pradip supervised Strategic Marketing, Campus and Community Relations, Chancellor Communications and Government-Industry-University relations. As a Director of the School of Engineering & Technology, Pradip led the transformation program for this School. This involved laying out a strategic plan for the School’s growth in terms of revenue and brand. Pradip, along with the Dean of the School developed and implemented a Talent Retention Plan thus linking it with the School’s Research & Development capability..
